SEOUL, KOREA—Major Lee Wonbok, the international coordinator of the Korean Boxing Commission (KBC), has disclosed that the WBC feather champ Injin Chi will start training next week after recovering from his hamstring injury sustained during a workout. The KBC will officially submit the medical certificate of Chi’s recovery today. Major Lee denied some reports that Chi had suffered an Achilles tendon injury. Chi will be ready to face newly crowned WBC interim champ Humberto Soto, who acquired the interim belt by outscoring Rocky Juarez in Chicago on August 20. Soto became a late substitute for the injured Chi to face Juarez. Both parties will start negotiating on the WBC unification bout soon.
