WHERE DOES JOE MESI GO FROM HERE?
By Boxing Channel Radio September 4th, 2005

Is there a future in boxing for Joe Mesi? Or will all his options run out? Tim Graham, a weekly columnist for The Sweet Science who also covers boxing for the Buffalo News, has been right on top of the Mesi story from the beginning. In fact, it was his reports of Mesi’s subdural hematomas that broke the story wide open. In this segment with Boxing Channel Radio’s Charles Jay, Graham gives fans a complete overview of what has happened and what may be about to happen.

To whom it concern! If the brain did bleed, don’t give it a chance to do so again. Save this man, so his family can keep him in good shape. Tommy

If boxing had any form of UNION, with medical insurance & job training after a boxer is through boxing, Macy or any other boxer would not have to keep fighting after they have serious injury. I was a former two-time lightweight champion of the world, but I was fortunate enough to also have a UNION job, making good wages with benefits & a pension plan, I fought ten years & had nothing to show from boxing. Right now I am working on a Boxing Program called B.A.A.D. Boxing Against Alcohol Drugs going into gyms and schools to try and educate our kids. Boxing is the only Olympic game sport not in Schools. We teach our kids to be trainers, managers, referees, judges, announcers, and if they want boxers, as opposed to getting involved with Gangs. thank you again MandoRamos aka MRBAAD

Is that a post by the great Mando Ramos? Wow! He was truly a great fighter. My stablemate Frankie Crawford once got the nod over Ramos in 10, but nearly expired and required oxygen after the bout. Wasn’t so lucky next time they met. Glad to hear Ramos is doing well. He is a rare exception.
