MORALES AND PACQUIAO TO HAVE THEIR REMATCH ANYWAY

Although the HBO double main event at the Staples Center was presumed by most to be a precursor to the return bout, after both men won, Erik Morales will participate in a rematch with Manny Pacquiao anyway, despite losing a ten-round decision to Zahir Raheem on Saturday night. Promoters Bob Arum and Gary Shaw announced that the fight will take place on January 21, and Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, indicated that his man will go away for training camp this time - two weeks in Manila and six weeks in the U.S. Shaw says, “This time Manny will win by knockout.” Does this leave Raheem as the odd man out? Well, according to manager Cameron Dunkin, the Las Vegas-based Oklahoman will move down to 130 pounds, “where there’s a lot of money,” said Dunkin.

We know that Eric Morales was not in his system when he enters the ring against Raheem. Of course no doubt, the culprit is his weight. Good that Eric did not suffer any injuries - at least he is still physically well and fit. It is just a matter of taking extra pounds (5 lbs.) from his system. He has still a lot of time to do it, before January.
This is a warning to Pacman! Don’t ever think that because Eric lost to Raheem, he can knock him out. It’s better that Pacman really trains seriously now. Yes, maybe he knows Eric now better, compared to before, in their first fight.
For sure the rematch this coming January will be another Fight of the Year early in 2006.

Erik “El terrible” Morales will most likely beat pac-man. He will be much better after the loss, and pacman may be the one who get’s knocked out.

Erik Morales is my idol, butI think in this second rematch with Manny Pacman, Morales will lose because in the last round of their fight (12 rounds), Morales got hurt. For Manny is too strong now. I saw his last fight with Velasques and he knocked him out in six rounds.

I guess pacman has to lift some weights and try to use some upper cuts and quickness too. Erik has a long reach advantange which he took advantange of during their last meeting. Now, pacman should be careful and use his destroyer abilities.

erik showed a lot of rust (5lbs. of it) when he lost to raheem. manny was more focused and he gave velasquez his first KO loss. the pacquiao-morales rematch looms to be another pacman triumph, possibly erik’s first KO loss too. unless, erik learns from velasquez’ loss.

PacMan Will KO Morales in the 6th round or earlier!
I will have money on that fight… What were the odds the last time they fought? What would it be now?
The better fight would be the Pac-Man against the Z-Man…
In any case, my money is on Paq-Yeow! Manny will pummel Erik like Lapu-Lapu pummelled Magellan many centuries ago… Pounding “erik” is like pounding “rice” in P.I… Tribal Pinoy Style!=o) Pound Away… Manny!

I think Eric must prepare better because during their last fight, he did not beat manny by ko, he won only by two (2) points. If manny did not get a hedadbutt from him, absolutely manny will ko him in 7th round. I’ll go for manny in this rematch…mark my words…

It was that cut (caused by a headbutting) that made boxing fans doubt that Morales is a better fighter than Manny. Morales will never have a chance against Manny in a fair and square fight. It will take 100 solid jabs for eric to knock Manny down. Only a single solid punch from Manny … Pacman by a career-crippling knockout in ROUND 3.

Manny is an ultimate fighter … Filipino blood “palaban ika nga” … he will win by this time 101% … where can you see a boxer like “Pacman” who has an unbelievable and amazing speed, energy and stamina … face was surrounded with blood but still Pacquiao had enough strength to fight just to beat the Mexican gladiator Erik Morales way back in September of 2005 … Hail! i hope the punchers’ gloves will do the talking now. plus the speed, stamina and power will be the best advantage for Manny. but Manny should not take for granted the fact that Eric Morales is a veteran fighter. i know Manny won’t make the same mistake as the last time. as boxing critics say, “speed kills, especially with power and stamina.” I know Manny will emerge the winner via a devastating knockout - probably in the 7th round. God be with you Manny!

The world said Oscar De la Hoya, Roy JOnes Jr., Tito Trinidad, Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard even the legendary Muhammad Ali were unbeatable. But what happened next is history. I am not going any further coz I believe you can sum up the equations. I shall go as to what the old saying says” ” LIGHTNING WILL NEVER STRIKE TWICE.” I would not be surprised if Erik Morales’ corner will throw in the towel just like Barrera’s corner did. For those Mexican trainers of Morales. No excuses, no talking too much….show proof, because everybody knows you just got lucky the first time.

I’m a fan of Manny Pacquiao and I know Manny will win in their rematch against Morales. He’s been headbutted by Morales - but Morales does not have enough strength to knock out Manny. That means, Manny is the stronger fighter and he has a big heart. Morales should be well-prepared to meet Manny once again or else he will be knocked out by Manny and Mexican fans will be drowned in tears once again same as after what Manny did to the legendary Barrera. For Mexicans, don’t expect too much!!! Our gladiator is now fully charged. Mabuhay ka, Manny! I’ll be a forever fan of Manny.

No. 1 Manny Paquiao will still emerge as the winner in this fight…Pacman is the greatest as i would say beating all the great fighters of Mexico. Barrera, no contest!, Marquez ? got all the help from Judges! Lousy boxer! and Morales make it a fair game and you will see, you will be worse than Barrera after this fight! GOGOGOGO!!!! PACMAN!

manny should be careful of erik’s right hook!!! be slick… jab and combo then move away. erik has a very devastating uppercut… pacman in 8 rounds.

manny should aim for the body. erik can be hit with combinations to the head but this guy has a very tough chin. body shots will slow morales down. manny should be aggressive in the opening round to dictate the tempo of the fight. if the fight goes the distance, morales has a greater chance of winning. manny must display his speed, power, stamina and heart to have the chance to win.

Nobody can knock Pacman out with just a punch on the head. Pacman needs to work on the body of Morales, but taking a risk of being hit in the head. I think that won’t be problem, because Manny has a tough chin too …you can knock him down, but he cannot be counted out..BEWARE EL TERIBLE! you are about to witness the 1st TERRIBLE KNOCKOUT of your career!
WINNER: Pacquiao by KO on the 6th.

Neither morales or barrera can stop pacquiao. he’s beginning to rule the featherweight division. then after, i do believe that pacquiao is aiming up to 135 lbs. he’ll do the next move after defeating all featherweight greats. so welcome him once he comes. he’ll shock the 135 lbs. division with a punishing punch.

MORALES just couldnt TAKE it………it’s too clear that he cannot witstand the punches of PACQUIAO…….all worldbeater just get knock out…One by One..they all line up for the PACMAN cz he’s just too hot for anyone and everyone who visioned in fighting him for …just for the Money.

The re-match is the best thing to do, just to have this ego falls,,,, this is what morales now thinks, the ego will fall to morales himself, it is not a championship belt to achive but it is the “EGO”, an advantage to manny pacquiao “MABUHAY KA BAY”
