Saturday night’s fight in Atlantic City brings together two fighters who have somewhat different things to prove. Wladimir Klitschko is seeking to re-establish himself as a heavyweight force, and to do that he must show more stamina and chin than in his defeat to Lamon Brewster. His offensive arsenal is considerable, however, and has already brought him close to the apex of his profession as a heavyweight title claimant. Samuel Peter, on the other hand, has to demonstrate that he is worthy of the hype that has positioned him as a potential savior of the division. Can he take the big step up here? Robert Cassidy Jr. of Newsday and The Sweet Science and his father, former light heavyweight contender “Irish” Bobby Cassidy, analyze the Klitschko-Peter “crossroads” fight on this exclusive edition of “Cassidy & Cassidy.”

I remember ‘Irish’ Bob Cassidy. A very game fighter. I wish him all the best.

i see wlad sticking peter on the end of his hammer jab for about 5 rounds until peter starts to swell up, he then starts landing massive power shots that rock peter! only question is how much heart does peter have? wlad’s stamina problems are bs the fight against purrity is the only one where he wore himself out. the brewster fight was a “con king” last grasp to hold onto a heavyweight belt … he knew that if the klitschko had 2 or more belts then he would lose control of boxing … THEY WILL, HE WON’T!!

i know everyone thinks that if Corrie Sanders knocked klitschko out then surely Peter Samuel with his power should surely flatten klitshko with his power.. wrong there’s a big difference here - corrie sanders was almost the same height as Vladimir and this enabled him to land his big punches on Vladimir. Peter is much smaller, similar in height and size to tyson and tua and doesn’t punch any harder than either of them, and neither one of them could get to lewis to land there bombs and he’s a fighter of similar height and reach to Vladimir, and i think Vladimir is a good enough fighter to do the same to Peter Samuel, but is Peter good enough to be able to get in a position to be able to land his bombs … no and that’s your answer- peter won’t win simply because he won’t be able to land his big punches against klitscko. too much height and reach and when he does get in close vladimir will just tie him up it, the same way lewis did with tyson and tua it … will be just like watching lewis vs tyson and lewis vs tua all over again. a boxing match, not a slugging match .

I have never seen peter fight but I hear alot about him. I heard he can HIT with either hand, but if wlad doesn’t win this fight this will be the last big fight he will have in a good while.
