Diego Corrales’ camp made an issue about the weight problems of Jose Luis Castillo prior to their Saturday fight, but Corrales expressed the opinion that the fans deserved to see a champion at work, regardless of whether the fight was for a title or not. He talks in depth about the tough loss to Castillo at the post-fight press conference.

I think the price of fights should be lower, then you would have more people ordering fights .. I love to watch the fights, but I can’t afford it … 19.95 is plenty … you make enough money off of it.

  2. Celaya 147 fan Says:

I think the fight was great. And yes, the price of the fight was too much

  3. leonardo Says:

i think the fight should have been cancelled due to a boxer’s safety. not making the weight, and being over by a few pounds was a big big advantage to castillo and we saw it in his punching power- it increased drastically.

  4. Keith Oliver Dow Says:

Like most of my friends and other fight lovers, the cost to view / see fights on PPV is too much. You have to wait to see them on HBO the next week. (which you pay for any way). We do love boxing - do something PLEASE !!!!!!!

  5. Boomer Says:

Well, all I know is that jose luis castillo s*cks!! (I swear) Once in a blue moon he will give a decent fight. The fights I’ve seen him in have been slow (because of castillo) and he tends to hit low and clinch way too much when he is losing, heck even when he’s winning!! He couldn’t even make weight for this fight! I can’t wait untill I move up in the ranks (hopefully he will be fighting in the welterweight div) so I can embarass him and lastly knock him out and doing everyone a favor by retiring him.

  6. Judy Says:

Castillo came in overweight. A fitting “reminder” for him would be: fight his next 3 fights in the Welterweight division … so he will know how it feels.

  7. GREG FRANK Says:

I’M JUST TRYIN TO COME ACROSS MY CHANCE AT KNOCKING SOME OF THE GREATS OUT. IF ANY TRAINERS SEE THESE PLEASE CONTACT ME. i’M THE NUMBER 1 CONTENDER. BUT I’M STILL STUCK IN THIS LITTLE TOWN, Beaumont with no exposure. Please contact at (409) 893-4798.

  8. VIKTARIN247 Says:

Well I like both fighters and I think this overweight thing is getting blown out of proportion - nobody mentions the fact that at the night of the fight the unofficial weight of corrales was 151lbs and castillo was 148, 3 pounds … under corrales … the fact is corrales got hit with a good punch and in the sport of boxing one good hit is all it takes.

  9. jimmy Says:

boomer, castillo will kick your a** at any weight …
