Didn’t Hopkins and Taylor really stink it up?

Jermain is not the people’s champ - he is HBO’s champ, they made him. The only mistake Bernard ever made was giving Jermain a chance when he didn’t deserve it. Jermain has no boxing credentials.

Didn’t see last Hopkins-Taylor fight. Sounded very similar to the first one. Glad I didn’t spend $50 for a basically boring fight. That’s too damn much even for a good fight. I just don’t get some of today’s fighters. Many of them fight as if they’re so afraid of taking a few punches they rather risk losing. I watched many of the ‘old’ fighters. Maybe my memory is fading, but I can’t picture Sugar Ray Robinson, Gene Fullmer, Carmen Basilio, and many others ever fighting that way. If nothing else they would force an opponent to fight or be overwhelmed anyway. Rocky Marciano. Hell, Hit something if it’s just an arm or shoulder. If these guys want to be chess players they should do it outside the ring. One of the commentators ask the other if the boos might bother the fighters? The answer was probably not. Enough said. They must think $50 isn’t too much to pay to watch two boxers imitating chess players. I sure do. Boxing Fan Dan in Ga
