Scott Mallon: WRIGHT HUMBLES SOLIMAN IN CAKEWALK
By TSS Predictions December 7th, 2005Winky Wright has paid his dues. His shutout of Tito Trinidad, and two victories over Shane Mosley, coupled with his six year winning streak demonstrate he is definitely a fighter on top of his game. While Sam “King” Soliman of Australia is no tomato can, he’s not in the same league as Wright and never will be. I look for the fight to be close for a couple of rounds with Wright coming on in the middle and late rounds, schooling Soliman and illustrating the difference between an A grade and a C grade fighter. Wright humbles Soliman once and for all in a unanimous decision cakewalk.

Winky’s the class but this fight is supposed to be a warm-up for Winky. Soliman isn’t in the same class they say. He should be fighting the big names, etc. All the pieces are in place for this upset. Soliman will frustrate Winky and eventually Winky’s defensive jabbing style will be turned into an awkward forward fight. The counter puncher Wright will be first frustruated, then change his style and by the late rounds get desperate to get back the rounds that Soliman will steal early in the fight. In those late rounds Wright’s frustration will get him tagged with a few bombs but he won’t go down. The late rounds will be a war and Soliman will shock the world! I’m the guy who said that Hopkins, as strong as he is, couldn’t beat Jermain and last week I was proved right again. You heard it hear.
