Rick Folstad: THIS IS TOO EASY

By TSS Predictions December 9th, 2005

This is too easy, which leaves me second-guessing myself. Sam Soliman just hasn’t been in with the caliber of fighters Winky Wright has already beaten. His biggest win was over Raymond Joval. But I do think he’ll give a better performance than a lot of people expect. But I don’t see a knockout. Winky by easy decision.

  1. Nelson Feliciano Says:

Now that Winky, cold and all, has become mandatory, I think he should not press his fight against Jermain. I think he should truly consider uping the stakes for an all out mega fight. If Jermain takes an optional defense at his hometown, which he deserves in my opinion, Winky shouldn’t press it. He should set up a fight with new IBF titlist Abrahams, beat him (which I could see happenning), and then fight a unification bout for the undisputed title against Jermain sometime in the fall. Winky says he’ll fight anybody, and who’s to say he wouldn’t when he has proven it his entire career, so let him get a title and then fight Jermain. A unification bout for the undisputed middleweight title between Taylor and Wright will certainly become candidate for fight of the year in 2006…and boxing can sure use a boost like that!
