ESPN Announcer Joe Tessitore On Friday Night Fights

After getting bucked on his last prediction effort (”Estrada over Cintron“), ESPN2 Friday Night Fights announcer Joe Tessitore is looking to get back, and stay, on the saddle. He likes Derek Bryant over Taurus Sykes in a battle of heavyweights from Augusta, GA tonight (9 PM Eastern).
“I think Bryant (18-4-1) wins a close decision. He fought well versus Lawrence Clay Bey (8-5-05 draw 10) and he now realizes he had opportunities he didn’t take advantage of. Also, he’s back with his old group of trainers and he’s done the extra roadwork and sparring for this fight. I see a unanimous decision. Bryant’s a little more offensive minded.”
Bryant is a 35-year-old southpaw from Philly. Sykes, a 30-year-old from Brooklyn, comes in 24-2-1, with just six kayos.
P.S. Tess recommends paying attention to Georgia super bantam Ray Whitfield (12-0), a national Golden Glover. He’s in tough(er) with Evaristo Primero (14-8-1), and has a compelling backstory.

I, like Joe got the Cintron result wrong, but it is only a matter of time before Cintron is shown to be the 2nd rate fighter he really is!!!

Joe Tessitore,
Why not interview the underdog’s corner during the fight and give them advice instead of giving the advice to the corner of the man who isn’t stepping up in quality of opponent.
