Amir Khan Arrested
By Robert Ecksel June 29th, 2006Young British boxing sensation may face jail
It’s almost as though he tore a page right from the heart of the Naseem Hamed playbook.
Boxing sensation Amir Khan, not unlike his hero the Prince, has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving.
According to the BBC, Greater Manchester Police said the 19-year-old Olympic silver medalist was arrested on Saturday in his hometown of Bolton.
The arrest was a long time coming, following an incident that occurred in March on Bradshawgate where a man had his leg broken by a speeding car.
Kahn is out on bail and is expected to appear in court at a date TBA.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said that “On Thursday 2 March 2006, police were called to Bradshawgate in Bolton at about 4:45 pm following reports that a car was in collision with a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from a broken leg.”
No word of rebuttal as yet from Team Khan.

Cut the kid a break & consider the circumstances surrounding the accident, I don’t think he itentionally hit the poor guy & I am more than certain he regrets hitting the poor man & would be more than willing to make thigns right I just hope the genleman who was hit by Amir does not look at as an oppertunity to cushion his pockets.
Thankyou
Riz Mohammad & fellow pugilist from Toronto, ON, Canada.

exactly according to the information on the net he crashed during the rush hour.
obviously it was an accident i dont think amir would have crashed diliberately.
i do hope amir does not go to jail as he has a great career ahead of him an opportunity not to be wasted.

Well I thing he should be locked up, khan is getting a bit too big for his shoes…. teach him a lesson, its not even been long he passed and his out with a 4.5 litre car..?!?!?! why did he or his guardians not get him a 1 litre clio or a fiesta like the rest of the new drivers?….
lock him up and throw the keys off from Dover pier…
LOL
HE’LL BE ALRIGHT THOUGH, ITS NOT SERIOUS, TEAM KHAN ARE JUST GETTING PUBLICITY - BAD PUBLICITY, STILL PUBLICITY

I think it’s good that he has some bad publicity i’m sick of hearin his comments how he’ll never do any of the foolish things naz hamed done and constantly comparin himself against naz and ricky hatton now he’s got a taste of his own medicine i hope he does get locked up for a little bit.i think he’s overrated he’s a good boxer but not as good as he’s made out to be.
