Pac Man Trainer Confident He’ll Get Larios Out By Sixth Round

Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Larios are sure to try and remove each others’ heads from their bodies on Saturday in Manila, but at a Thursday press conference, there was not a hint of real animosity.
Pacquiao declined to say how long the scheduled 12-rounder would last, but trainer Freddie Roach allowed himself a crack at guessing when Pac Man would finish off Larios: the fight won’t go past six, Roach declares.
“I am excited to fight,” said Pacquiao(41-3-2), who is heavily favored to beat the Mexican, to the Manilla Bulletin.
“Manny is going to treat him so well by ending the fight early,” said Shelly Finkel after hearing Larios’ agent, Rafael Mendoza, tell how the Philippines have treated the Larios crew with open arms.
“Beating Pacquiao is not impossible,” said Larios (56-4-1). “I am not even nervous and it doesn’t matter if this fight takes place in Las Vegas, Mexico or here in the Philippines.”
“I know this is a tough fight, but I am thinking of a win,” added Larios, who is promoted by Oscar De La Hoya.

Doesn’t sound like Larios is that sure of himself. The bookies are taking tons of bets on the round when Larios gets stopped. Makes sense…

I love to see Pacman fighting longer fights, but i believe his fight with Larios will be shorter, as Freddie Roach said: it won’t go past six. This will be an exciting fight but I guess Pacman is too strong and too fast for Larios.

Araneta Colliseum is going to be hot and humid around 11am-noon at fight time.
Pac better pace himself and prepare for a long gruelling fight.
Larios needs to think of winning a tough decision. If he tries to knock out Pac, he will get KO’d as his body is long and is easy to hit. Larios also looked pretty easy to nail with left leads in his sparring videos from Japan.
Larios is one durable fighter and is in 100% shape for this fight.
If he doesn’t get cut early, the fight might go the distance.
This might be Pac’s first decision win in a long while.

the fight won’t last 5 rounds. manny can even have it in a round or two. but please, i wanna enjoy more like what he did to morales. 6 rounds would do

As the saying goes, nothing is impossible in boxing and one lucky punch can end a fight (see the punch that KO’ed Vasquez in the 12th round of 2nd Vasquez-Larios match). I just hope that no one will be cut, both fighters brings out the best in them and expect a good clean fight. Of course being a Filipino, I pray for Pacquiao’s victory. Good luck to both protagonists!

go pacman!!!!! u can box larios down, knock him out with ur left hand, and plus ur stronger and faster he wont keep up with ur speed and he will get tired 2 easily. if u concentrate and focus and keep on using ur left hand punch, this fight will be over near the 5 or 6 round. the last thing i want 2 say always pray 2 god and he will always be with u from the start 2 finish of the fight always believe in ur self that ur gonna win. pacman will knock larios in 2nd round. I Think larios will not last long or survive manny’s punch, manny’s left hand wiegth like an beyond heavyweigth. if in case survive in several round’s manny will hit him in body which causes in his weakness just like happened in last figth with morales.morales looks battered figther. larios is to confident to beat manny to easily.he underestimate pac’s power but when he tasted the fist of manny. im sure larios will knock out. larios always playing mind games that he could beat manny easily. i respect larios is a dangerous figther but when collide this coming sunday. larios will see manny’s power. i remember the video that larios being knocked out by vazquez,larios was weak.he’s not kind of a figther that survive pain not just like manny.it is true that anything can happen but manny well focus on him.all i can say that manny will finish larios in 2nd round. go manny!!!!!! mabuhay ang pilipinas!!!!

im sure that the boxing fans around the world will be watchin it! The big dome will be filled by the spectators around the globe.This fight makes a big impact for the filipinos that we can make it big on a boxing scene.Manny paquiao is the man in the superfeather weight division,no one can match his power and his skills in this division.Even erik morales and marco antonio barrera got there loss from the man who is called the destroyer. if oscar dela hoya is confident that larios will beat manny paquiao excuse me larios punch has no power to put manny’s down at the canvass.

i think the fight is getting better if two boxer square off better, so guys dont think that larios is an eassy opponent he’s a former champion and to be a champion a lot of better fighter you’ll need to face so i know pacquiao will not under estimate larios so pacman and larios……let’s get it onnnnnnnnnnnnn.

i know manny is too good for larios but kung si pacquiao ay magpapabaya baka delikadao din siya, oscar also holds a good records of his boxing career hindi dapat magbigay ng kompiyansa si manny.

It’s easy to look back now and see how pacquiao and morales has such great bouts.
