Paul Spadafora licensed to fight in Keystone State
Pennsylvania state athletic commissioners are close to bestowing a boxing license to former world lightweight champion Paul Spadafora, who was paroled two months ago.
All that remains is for him to pass a series of medical tests, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
“We’re agreed that we’re going to give him back his license,” Commissioner Andrew DePaolo of Green Tree said yesterday. “If he doesn’t be a good boy and breaks his parole, we’ll take it away.”
The commissioners talked on the phone to Spadafora, who plead guilty to shooting his girlfriend in 2005, and he said that he was doing 1,000 push-ups and 1,000 sit-ups a day during his six months in boot camp.
Spadafora, who also did seven months in a traditional lockdown facility, told them he could glove up and step in to the ring in a month.

Oh, was Paul Spadafora gone. I can’t say I missed his slapping style when he was gone. They spoke of him fighting Mayweather before he left and hopefully he can win a few fights so Floyd can put a whipping on him. Of course, it might be better if his girlfriend would shoot HIM in the stomach and boxing fans would not have to deal with this criminal.

Paul spadafora is a punk. He has had hand picked opponents and always fights own his own turf so the judges are in his pocket in case something would happen. He should have spent more time in jail for attempted murder. Wow, shoot someone in the chest and get boot camp. Talk about politics.
