Ricky Hatton Mugged In China

Word from overseas is that Ricky Hatton has been mugged while vacationing in China. He was ambushed while on holiday in Shanghai by a gang of thugs who wanted, reports The Mirror, and successfully snatched, his £4,000 Rolex.
According to Ricky’s agent Paul Speak, Hitman Hatton had been out drinking with friends when he and said friends were separated. Hatton, a bit in his cups, was attacked on his way back to his hotel.
“There was a scuffle,â€? Speak said. “He was pretty scared but did the sensible thing by not trying to fight his way out. Whenever he goes abroad he usually wears a cheap plastic watch but on this occasion he forgot it.â€?
Hatton had flown to the Far East to witness his beloved Manchester City footballers pre-season tour.
“Ricky is a bit embarrassed because he knows that he should have stayed with his mates and not been walking the streets alone.”
If memory serves, not long ago Ricky was mugged after a night of drinking in safer-than-ever New York City…

In economic speak, he actually did the right thing. He made a choice to use his wits (i.e., resources) for one particular use (stay alive) rather than the next best alternative use (attack and die). Therefore his opportunity cost is incurred. So much so, he gets to make more money. As for the bandits, I guess their resources are really scarce.

The idiot who made the first comment on here deserves an ass whippin from Hatton himself. He just prolly one of the ghetto losers who would rather take a risk getting shot and leave his family behind to claim wellfare like so manny other abonadon families in the US, who have to rely on the government for support because they wanted to be a hard ass and fight criminals with possible guns. Hatton can buy all the Rolex watches he wants , but who can replace the Hitman if he ould have been killed? His fans would have been devastated. You would know that if you had any common sense. Hatton did the right thing in this situation and he learned a very valuable lesson. Don’t travel the streets alone with a $4,000. Rolex. Hatton has shown his courage in the Ring and anyone who doesn’t respect him is ignorant or just wants to be diferent and see what comments he receives. Thanks to the British for their Friendship and help fighting Terrorism.
