Espinoza challenges Kuchle to bet 50,000 on his fighter

It seems that some pre-fight negotiation tactics by Oswaldo Kuchle, who manages WBO bantamweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez, irked WBC Super Bantamweight Champion Israel Vazquez’s manager, Frank Espinoza.

Irked enough to challenge the Juarez, Mexico based promoter and manager to put his money where his mouth is. Kuchle had referred to Vazquez in the Mexican press as “El Pollo” because Vazquez waited to sign on board for the confrontation. Vazquez is known as “El Magnifico.”

“If Kuchle doesn’t take this bet then we’re going to have to start calling him ‘El Pollo Kuchle,” said Espinoza.

Espinoza posed the challenge at today’s press conference for Saturday’s pay-per-view from Las Vegas where Vazquez will be taking on Gonzalez for the WBC belt. Vazquez vs. Gonzalez was moved up to a semi-main event in light of Mexican Independence day.

Kuchle did not attend the press conference but was granted twenty four hours to take the bet by Espinoza.

This sounds like things are getting more interesting! I’m already excited for the fight, but this adds a little more to it….
