Freddie Roach: “Weight Watchers Meeting”

The WBC-mandated 30-day weigh-in prior to the November 18 rubber match between Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales occurred over the weekend. In front of a large crowd in Mexico City, Morales tipped the scales at 142 lbs. Pacquiao, who weighed in at his trainer Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, Calif., came in at 138¾ lbs.
Roach was present at both weigh-ins, and true to form he had something to say.
“My goodness. I have never seen so many people surround one man to make sure he eats so little,” was Freddie’s comment, comparing his old school techniques to the new school techniques of the team of experts from Velocity Sports Performance Center surrounding El Terrible.
“That was no weigh-in,â€? said Roach. “It was a Weight Watchers meeting. I don’t know what Velocity has on his menu, but I guarantee you on November 18, Manny will be serving Erik a steady diet of Reyes leather all night long until he can eat no more.”
Pacquiao-Morales III will be promoted by Top Rank, in association with Wynn Las Vegas, and will be on Saturday, November 18, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV, and broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View.

I dont think that Erik morales is the same fighter he used to be but i will tell you this he is a MexiCAN and not a MexiCANT. The last time the faced it was a differen problem for el terrible but i think that the last time was only management trouble

Roach himself may not have succumbed to Parkinson’s if he had not taken those last ill advised fights. Could this be the “one too many” fight that endangers Morales’ health? I pray that Morales’ cornermen do the right thing and throw in the towel if it gets too brutal, ego be damned.

If Morales will not go head butting again just like the 1st fight, Pacman will WIN again by KNOCKOUT. Morales is not the same El Terrible but I think he will be more intelligent this time and copy Barrera’s tactics (Hit-and-run). If he will fight Manny toe-to-toe, he will be KO again. Go Manny…… we will PRAY for you….. and the WHOLE FILIPINO NATION WILL BE HERE FOR YOU ON NOV. 18. Mabuhay ang PILIPINAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
