Not that anyone expected otherwise, but Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather took part in the mandatory WBC 30-day safety weight check-in from their respective training camps.

A release states that Jose Penagaricano, the President of the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission, supervised De La Hoya’s weight check, which took place Thursday at the Wilfredo Gomez Gym in Puerto Rico where the champion trains. De La Hoya’s weight: 164.5 pounds. The fight is contracted for 154 pounds, so with a month to go, Oscar still has a little hurdle to surmount.

Mayweather weighed in on Friday morning at the Las Vegas offices of Dr. Robert Voy, a Nevada doctor. The documented weight was then immediately reported by Mayweather’s advisory Leonard Ellerbe to Golden Boy Promotions and the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Mayweather’s weight: 152 pounds.
