If Forrest can box and move all night, stay away from Baldomir then he wins. Baldomir’s power is underrated, and he is a hell of a pressure fighter.

  2. The SandMan Says:

In his last outing, Vernon Forrest , fought terribly and I personally thought he should have lost. Baldomir is a bit to old, however, his size and persistant pressure could be a problem for Forrest. Sure, all Forrest really needs to do is use his height and keep his distance with the jab, but he’s to easy to lure in… think when he fought Ricardo Mayorga. I’m taking Baldomir decision.

    Sandman,
Mmmmmmmmm, I have admit, your analogy is probably pretty accurate! Also, I might add that Forrest has not ever impressed me as being a real strategic and cunning boxer. Of course, neither has Baldomir BUT this guy from Argentina comes forward, and forward, and forward like a Bull until he wins. With both of them being on the bit older side of a boxer’s prime, and the fact I don’t think Forrest can affectively handle nor deal with Baldomir, my call is the Argentinan by a decision or even a late knock-out!
