PBF Blasts Hitman

By Boxing News June 26th, 2007

Floyd Mayweather, the recently crowned super welterweight champion and recognized pound-for-pound best boxer in the world today, has heard enough trash talking from Ricky Hatton over the recent weeks and is ready to step in the ring and “beat him all the way back to England.” The announcement comes just days after Hatton’s title defense win over Jose Luis Castillo Saturday night and less than two months after Mayweather’s win over Oscar de la Hoya May 5th.
Since then speculation has increased as to whether Mayweather would keep his word and stay retired unless he had a rematch with de la Hoya or when and against whom Mayweather would make his next ring return. It appears he now has his sights on a fight with Hatton, one of the most revered athletes in England today.
“Ricky Hatton has talked nonstop about fighting me for the last two weeks,” said Mayweather. “He has disrespected me and my accomplishments in the ring, and I take that very seriously. I’m going to give him the opportunity to step up and fight the best in the world. I don’t think this punk will take the challenge.”
A potential bout against Hatton would set the stage for a match-up between two of the sports best undefeated fighters. With his win over Castillo, Hatton improved his record to 43-0 with 31 KO’s. Mayweather is 38-0 with 24 KO’s.
“Now that Hatton has opened up his big mouth, he might start to think about what he has been asking for,” continued Mayweather. “Does he really want to step into the ring with best fighter of this era and embarrass himself? Being the coward that he is, I doubt he’ll get in the ring. We’ll see what his excuse will be this time.”

If this fight happens, it will happen at 147, a weight Hatton can’t fight at. Hatton had trouble with Collazo at 147, so why the hell does he think he has any chance against PBF? Remember Mayweather v. Gatti…Mayweather v. Hatton will be the same type of bloodbath. He may actually kill Hatton…PBF let up against Gatti. He may not against Hatton the way Hatton has been running his mouth.

Karma’s a bitch aint it Floyd? You trash-talk opponents all the time, now how does it feel to be on the recieving end of it?

Kinda funny how you only opted to fight Ricky now when he is sort of in decline (Come on! Castillo’s past his best. He was there to make Ricky look good!). Whether Ricky was the one who’s been ducking you all these years or not, you should’ve made more of an effort to go after him when you could.

And as for Ricky, hope you can back up your words, man.

mayweather is finished. Hatton is going to teach him a lesson. Mayweathers fitness levels are pathetic to say the least. De la Hoya has been getting his pension for years.

Ben, karma? Hatton was dissin’ PBF so hard…it’s not that PBF was taking Hatton seriously. Hatton was playing off PBF’s name by saying he fought the exact opposite style, which makes people want to watch Hatton. PBF has decided that he wants to end Hatton’s paydays off just talk. Hatton won’t back up anything he’s saying…he’ll just back up.

Matt Rogers…do you watch boxing???????? PBF is the realest fighter out there. Check my 1st post…Hatton won a close fight to a decent Collazo at 147. Hatton has already stated that he doesn’t like to fight at 147. That’s the only weight PBF is going to fight at. PBF fights for all 12 rounds although he won’t need that many to beat the Hitman. Hatton is not as quick as PBF, nor is he as accurate with his punches as PBF. Bottom line…PBF stops Hatton in 8 in one of the most lopsided fights this year. Hatton has no chance.

pbf , pgf or whatever you call him is rubbish. Before the oscar de la hoya fight he was talking about how he was ready to die, when he fights hatton he will probably say the exact same thing. You see floyd talks how he is the greatest yet if he is so great which he is not despite his attempts to influence clowns such as kool-aid[by the way what are you doing on the computer in the afternoon unless you are in high school and on vacation]why does he talk about preparing to die. The reason been he talks before his little brain thinks. If he were so great he would not need to prepare for death his opponents would. hatton shall knock him out in the third round and floyd can retire and stop annoying the greayest fighter of our era Sir ricky Hatton.
