Las Vegas, NV (USA) — In review of the top-rated sports cable programs for the Male 18-34 demographic, UFC 75: CHAMPION vs. CHAMPION, which took place at 02 Arena in London, Saturday, Sept. 8 and telecast on Spike TV, ranks number five overall for year 2007. UFC 75 is outranked only by four Monday Night Football games on ESPN. UFC 75, which featured the first-ever UFC/PRIDE unification title fight between Rampage Jackson vs. Dan Henderson, easily crushed other competition including the 2007 NBA All-Star Game, Home Run Derby, every WWE RAW program, all of the NBA Playoffs games, and had over two million more viewers than Major League Baseball’s historic rivalry “Yankees vs. Red Soxâ€?.
UFC 70: NATIONS COLLIDE which took place at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England and telecast on Spike TV currently ranks as number 56, yet still beats traditional sports programming including the NBA Playoffs and NFL Pre-Season Games.
“I think some people still think we’re a niche sport, said Dana White, UFC President. “When you look at the ratings we pull all year long and where we rank in the sports top 100 cable programs in 2007, I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised at how big the UFC really is.
