No MMA In NY, Not Til Next Year (Maybe)

The bill to sanction MMA in New York couldn’t make it out of the State Assembly to the Senate, for a vote, as the legislature is bogged down with the after-effects of a GOP power grab on June 8.

There are simply too many bills, of greater import to a wider segment of the New York populous, that need to be given an up or down vote, and MMA in NY isn’t a crucial enough issue to enough voters to influence pols.

The legislature reconvenes in January, and insiders say as of now, there is plenty of support to pass the bill.

But NY fans of MMA will have to get their fix out of state, for now…
