Heckuva Week For DiBella-Lou Signs Another

Couple days ago it was super talented under-the-radar welterweight Antwone Smith. Today, Lou DiBella scooped up an underused super middleweight who was in the Don King stable, Marcus Johnson (16-0, 13 KOs). One week, two rock solid prospects. Good week for Lou.

DiBella set himself up with two fighters who could easily be fighting for titles next year. “I’m really happy with both these signings,” he said. “Two guys who haven’t been babied, who can fight right now at the highest level.”

Johnson has been sort of MIA; he last fought in September, and with King not running as many shows, he got lost in the shuffle. Smith is 16-0, with 8 KOs. At age 23, his upside is huge, as he can probably make 140 as well. He is coming off a FNF win over Richard Gutierrez in May.
