Jorge Linares KOd In First Round

Mexican Juan Carlos Salgado captured the WBA super featherweight title Saturday with a first-round TKO of Jorge Linares.

Salgado (21-0-1, 15 KOs) helped the “Golden Boy” curse along, as the unheralded hitter took out Linares (27-1-0, 18 KOs), who just signed to Oscar De La Hoya’s company to great fanfare. Linares, from Venezuala, went down twice in the scrap, which was halted after 73 seconds.

This was his second defense of the super feather crown he won last November with a fifth-round TKO of Whyber Garcia, who fights in New York tonight.

    Damn!!!

  2. Radam G, a humble PacManite says:

Another hyped-up bits the dust. They call out PacMan, sign with Golden Boy Productions, then lose their next bout. It must be a curse or something. The moral of the story is shut the heck up, get better in the trade and get PacMan out of your grills. Holla!
