Nice article. But, We need writers like you to step up and be creative. TO GUARD THIS SPORT. Here’s an idea for you to write about this month so that it happens by early Jan.

When Mayweather fought De La Hoya, that entire card was framed around them. There was soooooo much money involved and the pre-cards weren’t interesting.
If boxing wants to put all its stock into Mayweather Vs. Pac-Man then there should be a back-up plan. It’s called: Pavlik Vs. Williams as the under card main event.

Honestly, I think Pavlik and Williams can get just as much or more money for fighting as an under card fight on this particular night then having their own night.
In addition, boxing doesn’t LOSE!!! the way it did thanks to the morons Mayweather and De La Hoya fighting a boring split decision.

Casual fans were turned off and to be honest, the sport hasn’t recovered. It really hasn’t. Because, to the casual fan, if boxing is that boring with such INDECISIVENESS, then why should they watch it.

So, it’s time for writers to step up and demand excellence. If Mayweather Vs. Pac-Man is the gamble to make people love boxing, then we should have a back-up plan: a white mid-west kid fights a black southern kid, BOTH AMERICANS, as security. Heck, they might steal the show. But at the end of the day, everybody wins because boxing looks good, LOOKS GREAT.

Boxing needs the writers to make the stir!
